Pregnant supermodel Gisele Bundchen spent a relaxing Christmas in Costa Rica with her boyfriend, Joaquim Valente, as the couple enjoyed a beach day on December 24.
The 44-year-old model flaunted her baby bump in a black bikini, while 37-year-old Valente stood by her side shirtless in the surf.
Bündchen and Valente, who began dating in the summer of 2023, are expecting their first child together. Bündchen also shares two children—son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 12—with ex-husband Tom Brady.
Additionally, she is the stepmother to Brady’s son, Jack, 17, from his previous relationship with Bridget Moynahan.
Despite the growing family, a source close to the couple revealed to Us Weekly in November that marriage is not currently on their radar.
“They’re deeply committed to each other and happy about the pregnancy, but right now, marriage is not a priority,” the insider explained. “They’re in love and happy, but marriage is not on top of their to-do list.”
Bundchen’s pregnancy was publicly announced in late October, and she was soon seen showing off her baby bump in a little black dress during an outing in Miami.
The news comes two years after Bündchen and Brady, 47, divorced in 2022 after more than 13 years of marriage.
Despite the split, a source shared that Brady is at peace with her decision to expand her family and move on with a new partner, focusing on a cooperative coparenting relationship for the well-being of their children.
The source added that Brady was one of the first people to learn about Bündchen’s pregnancy and that she made sure to inform him before telling their children.
“When Gisele told the kids about her pregnancy, she made sure to let Tom know as well,” the insider said. “She wanted to give him that courtesy.”
Valente, who has developed a positive relationship with Bundchen’s children, has actively participated in family activities and supports Benjamin and Vivian’s interests. The kids are reportedly excited about the arrival of their new sibling.
The couple’s relationship began when Bündchen enrolled her son Benjamin at Valente’s martial arts academy in Miami, where she soon started training with him.
Bundchen has previously shared her positive experiences with martial arts on social media, crediting Valente and his brothers for empowering her. Since her divorce from Brady, Bündchen and Valente have become inseparable, and their bond continues to grow stronger.
